Double concert by Quint and Undercover in Sint-Jan Waalwijk

On Sunday, September 8, the new concert season of the Vrienden Sint-Jan Waalwijk will begin. Once a month there will again be a concert in the Waalwijk dome church on Sunday afternoon and an organ recital on Saturday afternoon. Kicking off the season will be no less than two regionally known groups: pop choir Undercover and vocal group Kwint. Both groups are from Loon op Zand. It will be a varied program with well-known songs. The performance starts at 2:30 p.m. and admission is free. You are very welcome.

Zanggroep Kwint
Singing group Kwint celebrated its 25th anniversary last year with six sold-out, smashing anniversary performances. Every week the 40-plus members work on rehearsing and fine-tuning a variety of pop songs. And with the necessary challenge, because the choir has five, sometimes even six different voice groups. Every two or three years, Kwint produces a major performance. The great diversity of qualities of the Kwint members ensures that the choir itself is able to write the theme and script, as well as design and make things like sets, props and clothing in-house. The in-house production team ensures that all organizational matters are also well in hand. Conductor Rudy Pijfers himself makes most of the arrangements for the choir.

Popkoor Undercover
For almost 12.5 years this choir has been known as an association that plays its musical sounds in residential care centers and at festive and memorable activities in the North Brabant region. It is a warm hearted group of people who share their passion for singing and making music together every week. And not only with each other, but they are an active choir that is not averse to organizing, or participating in, events. Think of a drinks board concert, singing workshop, performing in nursing homes and at Christmas markets and their performances for emergency shelters and refugees in Waalwijk and Kaatsheuvel.

Everyone welcome
Everyone who loves music, brought in a surprising way, is welcome to this beautiful concert in the Sint-Jan on Sunday, September 8. It is organized by the Friends of Sint Jan de Doper. As always, admission is free and a voluntary contribution will be asked for after the concert. The concert starts at 2:30 p.m. and the doors will be open to you from 2 p.m. onwards. During the intermission there will be an opportunity to have a cup of coffee or tea and catch up.
