Waalwijk, Waalwijk Fine concert with organ and clarinet in Sint-Jan on Oct. 11

Organist Leander Schoormans from Terheijden together with clarinettist Marit van der Made will give a beautiful concert in the Sint-Jan de Doperkerk in Waalwijk on Saturday afternoon, October 11, at 3:45 pm. They will play a program with compositions by Saint-Saëns and Molter, among others. It promises to be a varied performance. Admission is free; afterwards a voluntary contribution is requested. You are most welcome to attend this concert. Organist Leander Schoormans In 2021 Leander obtained the Bachelor of Music in Education at the Academy for Music Education in Tilburg, where he also obtained the subject organ. In 2023, he completed the Master of Music Education at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where his thesis was about teaching notation in elementary school. As a teacher, he is currently employed by the Haags Matrozenkoor and the Kathedrale Koorschool Utrecht, among others. He also works as an organist in Terheijden and in Tilburg, and as the conductor of no fewer than four choirs. Clarinetist Marit van der Made For Marit, the clarinet was a love at first sight. She enjoyed studying at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam for Music Teacher. Yet performing remained a big part, and she went on to study for Master of Music at the conservatory of Tilburg, Fontys Academy of the Arts. Everyone welcome Everyone is welcome in the Sint-Jan at this beautiful concert and entrance is free as always. The concert starts at 3:45 pm. Afterwards, a free donation is requested to cover the costs of this activity and to preserve the church.
