Geertruidenberg, TIP Geertruidenberg Monuments Open to the Public on Open Monument Day

During Open Monumentendag, thousands of monuments in the Netherlands are opened to the general public in order to increase public interest in monuments and support for the care of monuments. Not only do the thousands of monuments open their doors for free, countless activities are organized: exhibitions, guided tours, bicycle routes, walks, music performances but also many activities for young people.

This year’s theme is “Resilient Heritage—in Times of Uncertainty.”

In the municipality of Geertruidenberg, the following monuments will be open to the public:

• Historic ships at the Timmersteekade: Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

• Geertruidskerk, Elfhuizen 3, Geertruidenberg: Sunday, September 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Former Geertruidenberg City Hall, Markt 36, Geertruidenberg: Sunday, September 13, 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Guided tour included in the city walk

• De Oude Wacht: W. Mulderplein 1, Geertruidenberg: Sunday, September 13, 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

• Lambertus Church, Kerklaan 4, Raamsdonk: Sunday, September 13, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

• Museum De Roos is offering a 50% discount on admission: Saturday, September 13, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 14, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Admission is always free with a Museum Card.

• Free guided tour of the Godshuizen during the city walk: Sunday, September 13
