On Saturday, July 19, look, smell, discover and listen to stories from the medieval gardens of Castle Ammersoyen.
During this guided garden tour, you'll hear fun facts and discover the special symbolism of the plants and herbs used at the castle in medieval times. Dive into an oasis of color, fragrance and beautiful stories. The tour leads to the medieval court at the foot of the moat.
In this garden lined with fruit trees, grow herbs and plants for medieval cooking and that were used for medicinal purposes. Also special are the dye plants!
Of course you also pay a visit to the recently created hop garden on the forecourt. Here you can find the herbs and grains that were used for brewing beer in the Middle Ages, including hops. The guide will tell you about them tastefully.

- The tour lasts approximately one hour
- Most suitable for adults and children 12 years and older
- Reservations for the tour are required and can be made by booking an e-ticket in advance via the castle website
- Price tour: Adults € 5.00, children 4 to 18 years € 5.00
- Because of the stairs to the garden at the canal this tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
