Round Efteling - 13 blocks around

Description

This route goes around The Efteling through Het Loonsche Land; a beautiful area of which we are proud.

1. Walk past node 51 toward the east into Van Heeswijkstraat.
2. Turn right at the end of the street.
3. Cross the crosswalk at the bus stops and turn left toward the highway. Then follow the bicycle/walking path through the tunnel; the F261.
4. Follow bike path F261 towards Loon op Zand.
5. Turn right into the forest path. This is a junction route and also an LAW. Keep following the Dukes path and node arrows for a while, also past the wooden game gate.

A little later we walk through the Beech Forest, where forest games have been played for generations. Suddenly, on the right, you see one of the most beautiful trees in the Netherlands. This beech tree is also called "The Cathedral. Giants have left boulders here. How many do you count?

6. Now deviate from the junction route. Instead of turning left to node 92, cross the moor. Keep right to a junction. Alternative: At high tide, you may have to turn around. Then turn right toward junction 92. At a wide dirt path turn right, then at the path with wooden barrier turn right.
7. At the end of the moor you come to a junction of five. Take the second path to the right. Alternative: Walk on to the junction of five. Take the path straight ahead. You come out at the cottages.
8. Walk toward the main building of the Loonsche Land, which you will see frequently.
9. At the main building take the crosswalk to and between the parking lots, then: winding path, crosswalk at node 95, winding path, crosswalk. Turn right there and immediately left.
10. Follow the junction route again, this goes towards junction 51.
