Go on an adventure
And there's more. Go on an adventure and learn musket shooting, explode gunpowder in the Kruittoren and flood the fortress with the water game. Or would you rather listen to one of the many stories from the history of the sturdy castle? Can't choose? You don't have to. Take a rest in the Taveerne with some goodies and continue your tour through the wall stairs of the castle, looking for Hugo de Groot's chest. Still got some energy left? Live it up on the climbing course.

New exhibition: Opposites
In a world full of conflict and change, the question increasingly arises: "are you for or against, and whose side are you on?" Differences of opinion are normal, but when us-versus-them thinking becomes hostile, it brings risks. Discover, for example, the story of Prince Maurice and Johan van Oldenbarnevelt. In the 17th century, they were diametrically opposed. Their disagreement over politics and religion turned the country upside down.

The exhibition not only tells about this historical clash, but also casts a glance at the present. The Humanistisch Verbond highlights the current polarization in the Netherlands. With stimulating questions and statements you are challenged to think about your own views and how they have been formed. The exhibition shows that stories have different sides. But above all, that people are more than their opinions. It shows how dialogue about other points of view contributes to a society with more understanding and tolerance, in which everyone feels at home. And in which diversity can actually connect us.

There is a special children's line for children aged 6 to 12.
