Heusden is renowned as a 17th-century fortified town. In many ways, Heusden still (or more accurately: once again) resembles the town as depicted by the Amsterdam cartographer Joan Blaeu on his famous map from 1649. But the town is much older.

For the 2026/2027 edition, 18 business owners were nominated from over 220 participants, including no fewer than three from De Langstraat: De Hoge Heide, Stadshotel Geertruidenberg, and Schoenenkwartier.
