Lecture A.J. Kropholler
Herman van Bergeijk is the author of a monograph on the work of A.J. Kropholler. This architect was best known for his many churches and schools. At the end of 1928 he was asked to make a sketch design for the town hall of Waalwijk. Two other architects were also invited, but eventually the commission went to the Roman Catholic Kropholler. Over the years, the building would become the pivot of an urban ensemble that was also largely designed by the same architect. In his lecture on the building, Herman van Bergeijk will present it in the context of its time.
