Young Solar Challenge

The Young Solar Challenge is a unique project where students between the ages of 11 and 17 are introduced to engineering in a fun way. Within the Young Solar Class, each team builds the same design solar boat. Through Junior Classes at the college, they are prepared to build and organize such a project and receive tips on racing. In addition to engineering, students also learn about communication, sponsorship and teamwork.

The youngest students in the lower school build original boats for their RC-Solar Class. They operate these with a controller and also come into contact with technology and sustainability at an early age. They also learn how to cooperate in a team and deal with deadlines.
