Jort Kelder and Maarten Prak will take you on a fascinating conversation about polarization then and now. Come and listen to two enlightening thinkers, enjoy a delicious drink and visit the impressive castle in the evening.

Jort Kelder talks to Maarten Prak about polarization. He talks about how political and religious struggles turned Dutch society upside down in the 17th century. A theme of today, explained through events of the past.

The highlight of the evening: Jort Kelder will talk with Maarten Prak about the story of Prince Maurits and Johan van Oldenbarnevelt and how their struggle turned Dutch society upside down in the 17th century. It leads to polarization and bipartisanship. Jort and Maarten explore what these consequences were of this struggle, but also reflect on the Netherlands today. Is the Netherlands today polarized?
