Galgeneind
This location is part of the White Feather Gang Bike Trail.
On Sept. 19, 1726, chief of the White Feather Gang Swarte Johannes was sentenced to death. His corpse was transported by a military escort to the Galgenberg at Galgeneind in De Moer in order to prevent theft. Among others, you can enter the Huis ter Heide estate via Galgeneind and the Galgeneindsestraat. Here you will find several beautiful fens, such as the Leikeven. Another name that might make you think of lurid things....
