Walking tour Loon op Zand and ice rink
The starting point of this route is Café De Kiosk in Loon op Zand. From there you walk towards De Loonse en Drunense Duinen. This walk is the perfect alternation of forest and dunes.
In this route you walk to the Ice Rink, a fen that was dug out years ago to be used as an ice rink in winter. You can skate as much as four hundred meters around an island. The fen regularly freezes over in winter, a beautiful sight! But also in the other seasons the water is beautiful to see.

National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen is characterized by the great diversity of its landscape. Here you will find huge sandy plains, forests, ponds and purple moors. The beautiful nature reserve is also called the Brabant Sahara. The drifting sand in this park still has free play, on such a large scale is such drifting sand nowhere else in Europe. You also walk through fresh-smelling forests with coniferous trees and along streams and marshes. Plenty of natural beauty that you can admire at your leisure from quiet paths.
