The Wit-Gele Kruis building, designed by Breda architect Frans Mol was officially opened on May 6, 1961. The community building served for many years as the seat of district nursing and as a consultation office. Now it houses, among others, the care organization Thebe.

On the same day the cross building opened, the bronze statue "Mother and Child" was also unveiled, donated by eight Loon manufacturers. It stands in the front yard.
