Good advice is worth its weight in gold
You are now standing at the back of the former town hall. A council house is an old word for town hall: a place where the mayor, aldermen and officials meet. 'Good advice is worth gold' means that you can do a lot with good directions. Think of your teacher giving you tips so you can solve the question yourself.
Interesting: Look around the city garden. The tower used to be the fire department's "hose tower": the linen hoses were hung from top to bottom to dry after they were used. And do you see the little house? The municipal messenger lived there. You will also find a war memorial and bars from the old prison in the city garden. The city garden is truly a historical place.
