Battery under Poederoijen

The Battery under Poederoijen, built around 1880, was part of the New Dutch Waterline. In case of a threat of war, the western part of the Bommelerwaard would be flooded. The battery's artillery was intended to control the Meuse River and protect the inundation sluices.
