Donge

This location is part of the White Feather Gang Bike Trail.

The Donge is a small river near the town of Dongen. Until the mid-20th century, the river consisted of two branches. The Noordergat and the Zuidergat. The part between the beginning of the Amertak and the center of Geertruidenberg and Raamsdonkveer is called Noordergat. The Zuidergat has been dammed and filled in. The river played an important role in the shoe and leather industry in De Langstraat.
