Three good Germans in Drunen

This location part of the Liberation Route Scottish Highlanders Heusden

On Saturday, November 5, 1944, almost two mass murders are committed in the present municipality of Heusden. But one fails in the nick of time. As soon as the front comes closer to Drunen, at the end of October 1944, more and more Drunen people seek shelter. One of these is at the bottom of the solid hull of the seventeenth-century corn mill the Duchess of Brabant.
