Fighting in the three southern provinces claims many civilian casualties, but rarely as a result of outright mass murder. Heusden Vesting is liberated on Sunday, November 5, by the 5th Battalion of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. During the morning, the A Company led by Major Eric Mainwearing moves into the town.
