Friendly fire?

After the liberation of Loon op Zand, the Highlanders pitched their tents on Saturday evening, October 28, 1944, at the Roestelberg, in what is now the Loonse and Drunense Dunes. To chase away the last Germans, shells flew over Waalwijk a day later.
