A reconstruction of the sand ridge Ode aan de Zandrug

Artist Sannah Belzer used old maps and contour lines to create a reconstruction of the sand ridge in Waspik. The meters-high three-dimensional artwork is calledOde aan de Zandrug" and was unveiled July 10, 2015. It visualizes the sand ridge on which Waspik and the surrounding villages were built. Just as the sand ridge once attracted habitation, the artwork now attracts people who sit, walk and play on it.
