6x the nicest playgrounds Outdoor play in De Langstraat

June 10 is the day again: National Outdoor Play Day. The day when children are encouraged to go outside with their friends or family. From climbing and scrambling to romping around in nature, playing outside remains the most fun there is. Still looking for a fun place to play outside in De Langstraat? Here are my six favorite outdoor playgrounds in the region.

Waleuk

In the middle of the polder near Waalwijk is WALEUK, a play and camping farm where outdoor life is central. From the campsite you look over the corn maze and enjoy the tranquility of nature. For families who like to be active, there are bikes for rent to explore the area. In addition, you can play mini-golf and get lost in the corn maze. There is plenty to do even when the weather is not so good thanks to the indoor playground.

Restaurant De Financiën

Between the Efteling, Tilburg and Loonse en Drunense Duinen is restaurant De Financiën, a place where you taste the most delicious pancakes and enjoy everything in between. While children have fun in the indoor or outdoor playground, parents can enjoy the terrace. A game of miniature golf is also among the possibilities. Thanks to the green surroundings, this is also a fine location to combine a walk or bike ride with a cozy stopover.

Herberg de Drie Linden

On the edge of the Loonse and Drunense Dunes, you'll find Herberg de Drie Linden. This location is perfect for families who want to combine a day of nature with relaxation. After a walk or bike ride through the dunes, children can expend their energy in the spacious playground next to the inn. Meanwhile, parents enjoy a drink or a tasty lunch on the terrace. A nice place to be outside together and relax.

De Zwammenberg

At De Zwammenberg in De Moer it's all about playing outside. Especially young children can enjoy the large outdoor playground. From climbing and scrambling to jumping on the red mushroom bouncy castle, there is plenty of room to move and have fun. The spacious lawn invites to romp and play games with friends. While the children are having fun, parents can relax on the terrace.

Natuurspeeltuin Het Klauterwoud

For adventurous children, we highly recommend Natuurspeeltuin Het Klauterwoud in Waspik. Here everything revolves around playing in and with nature. Children can build huts, balance on tree trunks, play with water or have fun on the double cableway. The playground encourages creativity and movement and offers something fun for every age. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, sponsors and the municipality, Het Klauterwoud has become a special meeting place for young and old.

De Speeltuin Nederhemert

In Nederhemert-Zuid is Playground Nederhemert, which reopened its doors in 2025 completely renovated. The playground has been given a fresh look and offers plenty of fun for children of different ages. From swings to climbing equipment, there is plenty to discover and experience. Parents and grandparents have also been thought of, as you can easily keep an eye on them from the terrace while enjoying a drink. A cozy place for a relaxing day outdoors.
