't Kapelletje

In Orange Square, our music kiosk once stood. An open "shell" with wonderful acoustics for the harmonies. Now we can enjoy drinks and each other inside or on the terrace.

Continuing the trail via KP41, we imagine ourselves in the 15th century for a moment, walking towards KP16 and entering a beautiful hiking area. Enjoy the views of the meadows and forest edges.

  1. Before we get to KP16, we turn right along the forest edge onto the "cart track.
  2. After the wooden barrier (left) the path narrows. You enter the forest. T-junction left; keep this path as main route. Walk past the Y-junction, then 1st path right. Then follow the main path and keep left.
  3. You approach the county road and turn left after the wooden barrier on the bike path.

This field chapel was consecrated in 1939 in honor of Mary. The chapel fell into disrepair, but was renovated in the 1980s. Due to arson (1997) and a bar bomb (1998), the chapel was completely destroyed and restored twice again.

  4. Turn around at the chapel. Turn left into Klokkenlaan. You are then back on the junction route.
  5. We re-enter our village at KP40.

Nice to walk along the "lover's lane" at the edge of the village. Why would it be called that? When you get back and feel like another block: feel free to enjoy it.
