During this walk, a guide will take you past historic sites and memorials that commemorate this period. Among other things, you’ll learn more about the town hall disaster on the night of November 4–5, 1944, the ammunition explosion on Wilhelminaplein, and the shelling and destruction that struck Heusden.

A unique walk where you’ll not only stroll through the fortified town, but also discover the stories behind the places you encounter along the way.

On the day of the walk, the Tourist Information Center will also screen a special film about the liberation of Heusden and the period that followed.
