Quite a climb this tower climb in Geertruidenberg, but once atop the tower of the Geertruidskerk you have a beautiful view of the city and get a good idea of the fortifications. In clear weather, you can also see landmarks as far away as the horizon.
During the climb, you will be introduced to the history of this tower and its bells from 1447 and1647. In 2013, the 16th century tower clock was restored and returned to a museum display. If you hit it, you can hear up close how the carillon rings its tones over the city.
The tower climb is good to combine with a city walk and/or a tour of the Geertruidskerk.
