Welcome to the House of Waalwijk
In the center of Waalwijk rises proud and inviting the former town hall of Waalwijk, an imposing National Monument designed by the architect Kropholler. This beautiful stepped gable building from the 1930s incorporates a great deal of symbolism referring to the leather and shoe industry.
After the relocation of the city council and its officials in 2010, the city hall was given a new function as "Het Huis van Waalwijk," a place where history, architecture, art and meeting come together. This beautiful building is also a popular wedding location.
