Kerkpaadje

  • The starting point is in the Hoofdstraat, KP 49. Follow the node arrows towards KP52 and walk straight ahead. The street becomes Antoniusstraat. Along the way, former shoe factories and workshops can be seen to the left and right. To the right is care location De Vossenberg with an old public chapel and beautiful walking park behind it.
  • Cross the ring road around Kaatsheuvel and go straight ahead into the Rechtvaart. The old shoe factory at this junction was recently granted monument status. We hope it will be beautifully restored, like the residential and office building in front of it.
  • After house number 18A turn right into the footpath. Follow the green node arrows for a while. This is an old church path. These paths used to serve as the shortest connections to the church. They ran right through fields and polders. Although they have fallen into disuse as a connecting route to the church, they are still beautiful to walk. Vanished paths here and there have been brought back to life by local residents. So these paths are not only interesting from a cultural-historical perspective, but also contribute to landscape development.
  • You walk through a hamlet and come out on the Zuidhollandsedijk. Keep following this. Also at the Capelsestraat direction Kaatsheuvel straight ahead.
  • Straight ahead. The street turns into a bicycle path. Then the first possibility on the right. The Liechtensteinstraat.
  • End of street to the left. Belgiumstraat.
  • Turn right at the traffic circle. Jan de Rooijstraat and first left Schotsestraat.
  • First street on the right, turn left, then right into the Polish street to the Hoofdstraat, KP 49.
