Historic predecessors
By reservation you can be guided through the castle. You will then learn all about the more than 600 years of history of this special place. Did you know that royalty and politicians such as Louis XIV (the Sun King), Emperor Charles V, Frederick Henry and Constantine Huygens as well as Napoleon visited or even stayed overnight here? By the way, not in one of the three vacation homes, as they have only recently been converted into very comfortable accommodations. Four people can stay in Het Neerhuis, two in Het Theehuis and Het Wagenhuis. Both vacation homes are also used as honeymoon suites and even regularly as workplaces, for example to write a book. So here you do not expect mass tourism, but exclusive hospitality, nature and tranquility.
Four-star venue
"The estate is cozy, quiet and nice. The Loonse Dunes are obviously beautiful and nearby! Very attractive and cozy cottage. [...] It was a fairy tale to wake up in these natural surroundings," according to the online guestbook. And not only that "Brabant Sahara" is nearby, that also applies to estate Huis ter Heide, where it is fantastic hiking, and a Top Attractions as The Efteling. Safari Park Beekse Bergen is a 20 minute drive, as well as the lively Tilburg and historic 's-Hertogenbosch and Breda.
