Museum The Rose

Behind the characteristic 16th-century facade on the Markt in Geertruidenberg you will find Museum De Roos, a small but surprisingly rich museum in which the impressive history of the old fortified town of Geertruidenberg and surroundings comes to life.

On the first floor you will discover the ecclesiastical and secular side of Geertruidenberg and in the basement you will find archaeological finds from its ancient past. Upstairs, the exhibition takes you past changing exhibits.

In Museum De Roos you will also find the Tourist Information Centre of Geertruidenberg. Handy for when you're looking for inspiration about the region for the rest of your visit. Hungry or thirsty after your visit to the museum? Walk onto the Market Square and settle down at one of the cozy restaurants and cafes.

Hiking at Pauwels Landscape Park

Time to go into nature after this outing in the city. Continue your route to Landscape Park Pauwels, a vast nature reserve south of the Loonse and Drunense Dunes. Choose a nice route and walk through the varied landscape of forests, agriculture, fens, meadows and the area adjacent to the Loonse and Drunense Dunes.

Did you know that the park is part of the future-oriented Van Gogh National Park? This means that the focus here is on water management, biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.

Visit Annahoeve Farm Shop

A ten-minute drive from Landscape Park Pauwels, you will find Farm Shop Annahoeve. At this experience spot, you literally and figuratively step into the heart of Brabant farm life. The farm is a dairy farm, so in summer you can also enjoy the view of the grazing cows. With Landgoed Huis ter Heide as its backyard, De Annahoeve is always bathed in greenery.

The farm is also a familiar and sustainable address. Much attention is paid to animal welfare and to local collaborations with other producers.

The store sells regional products such as home-grown meat, cheese from the Duinboeren, dairy products and much more. In addition, De Annahoeve offers tours where you can get a glimpse into daily life on the farm.
