National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen is also called the Brabant Sahara. The area is over 7,000 soccer fields large.

Discover De Loonse en Drunense Duinen

De Loonse en Drunense Duinen is located in the province of North Brabant, in the region De Langstraat, near Tilburg, 's-Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven. Thanks to this central location, the nature reserve is easily accessible from all over the country, making it one of the most accessible national parks in the Netherlands. Moreover, the park is less than an hour's drive from De Biesbosch National Park and is part of Van Gogh National Park.

With an area of over 3,500 hectares, De Loonse en Drunense Duinen offers a varied landscape: vast forests, quiet fens, purple moors, rolling hills and impressive sand flats. Because of the drifting dunes, the area is also called the "Brabant Sahara". The park is also close to the Efteling amusement park in Kaatsheuvel, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and families alike.

De Loonse en Drunense Duinen has something for everyone. From running around with children to exploring the miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. Come here to wander through the ancient shifting sands or go horseback riding on the bridle paths and sand hills. Mountain bikers get their money's worth on the green MTB route of 16 kilometers, for the beginning mountain biker, and the tougher black route of 26 kilometers.
