MASt route

On the edge of De Loonse Duinen, between Loon op Zand and Kaatsheuvel, during the Second World War the largest ammunition depot of the Germans in Europe was located. Near the peace monument of the municipality of Loon op Zand you can still find remains of the M.A.S.T., "Munitions Ausgabe Stelle". Walk past five objects that recall the explosive past of the forest area the M.A.St. This former Munitions Ausgabe Stelle of the Germans was blown up on September 5, 1944.
